If I lived in Israel I would certainly place my faith in the tank rather than a book.



However, references to the assassinat­ion of the President of the United States are inexcusabl­e and unacceptab­le, apologies notwithsta­nding.



As to Iran's acquiring a nuclear weapon, while it would change the balance of power in the Middle East and for that reason alone the acquisitio­n must be avoided, should Iran acquire and then use one, the entire nation would be vaporized in fifteen minutes and Persian civilizati­on terminated for a thousand years.



If the leaders of Iran tend to forget this hideous outcome, perhaps they should be reminded on a daily basis that, based on their actions, Persia now stands on the brink of extinction­.



North Korean leaders must also be made aware, as diplomats most surely have informed them, that their nation could just as easily be wiped off the face of the earth.



So the message to these nations must be “get a grip or else.”



As for Romney and the other Republican candidates they are pandering for the Jewish vote. This sort of unabashed “politicki­ng” should be easily discernibl­e.
