ics in their hiring practices. Many of their employees, therefore, are not Catholics and hold religious beliefs that disagree in fundamenta
l ways with Catholic doctrine.
Perhaps the solution here is for Catholic institutio
ns to withhold payment for birth control only for Catholics and to pay for those who do not hold doctrinair
e Catholic belief rather than force Catholic beliefs on non-Cathol
ics.
Does no one speak for the faithful whose religious beliefs do not deny them access to birth control and who are entitled to the benefits required by the law?
